Nashville's Best Roasters

I am often a snob when it comes to coffee. These local coffee shops roast their own beans and stand out as the best in the city.

1. Crema Coffee Roasters

Started by a local couple with a passion for authentic coffee that honors its rich history, Crema is the best in town. It is the two time winner of Food and Wine's Best Coffee Roaster in Tennessee. You can check them out at Pinewood Social too.

2. Humphreys Street Coffee

Humphreys Street is a coffee shop with a mission. Not only do they have some of Nashville's best tasting coffee, they also invest in local students by giving them a job and connecting them with educational opportunities.

3. Honest Coffee Roasters

Artisan coffee meets impeccable branding. Honest is a great spot in Nashville for quality coffee and a good atmosphere. Ask for the First Lady or Roosevelt Latte.

4. Honest Coffee Roasters

The original Honest Coffee location, this is the perfect spot to read a book, visit a friend, or take a date. Exposed brick, pothos plants, and old wood furniture. What's not to like?

5. 8th & Roast

Started by two childhood friends, 8th and Roast is one of the best coffee shops to get some work done or have a casual chat. I prefer their Charlotte location for its natural light, while the 8th Ave location is warm is cozy.

6. Frothy Monkey

A Nashville staple, Frothy Monkey is in an old house on 12 South. It's nearby to great shopping and has a relaxing front-porch atmosphere. Not to mention, it has one many awards, including the Nashville Scene's Best Coffeehouse.

7. Bongo Java

Across from Belmont University, Bongo Java is the coffee capital for college students. Started in 1993 by a former journalist before Nashville's big boom, Bongo is a tried and true sip a history.

8. Barista Parlor

One of Nashville's fastest growing shops, Barista parlor has locations across the city. Their 21st Avenue shop is one of the coziest, with warm walnut shelving and music playing from a record player.

9. Three Brothers Coffee

A great little shop in West End. Directly connected to Cumberland Transit, you can shop for outdoor gear then sip on a warm cup of joe in your brand new Patagonia zip up afterward.

10. Black Press Coffee Shop

Located in the center of the old Gallatin Square, Black Press is one of the best suburb coffee shops in Tennessee. Check out their location on Long Hollow pike for some warm vibes too.

11. High Brow Coffee + Tea

Located in the new urbanism development of Westhaven ("Tennessee's Seaside"), High Brow is one of the best coffee shops in Franklin. Grab a cup and take a stroll through this beautiful neighborhood.
